2020/2021 POND HOCKEY SEASON
Pond Hockey will start Friday October the 16th.
Juniors (9-12) 5:45-6:45pm
Seniors (13-17) 7:15-8:15pm
Before anyone is allowed on the ice Repsol Re-entry guidelines MUST be reviewed and a waiver MUST be filled out. Once you’ve registered please join our Remind group @edsonpo you will find the waiver and guidelines under Files or email me for a copy. We will continue to use the Remind app for all information sharing, including cancellations and updates. This is the only way you will be able to keep up to date. Please email me, if you need instructions for using app. There is an option to receive text notifications, if you do not have a smartphone.
To register for Pond Hockey, choose the Registration link at the top of the web page. The Registration fee is $195. Please note this is a generic form, so ignore the fundraising information. Pond will run on Friday evenings, from October to February with a break for Christmas.
We are still looking for a new director or multiple people to co-direct. Doug Elzinga has stepped forward as an interim replacement. If someone is interested, I would be happy to fill you in on what the position entails. You're also welcome to email JD (EMHA President) with any questions. firstname.lastname@example.org JD has been great to work with and very supportive of the pond program!
Players must not spit, blow their nose freely or release any bodily fluid anywhere in the facility due to an extremely high risk of virus transfer.
Players should have a labelled water bottle. Use only that water bottle when participating in the activity. Parents/players should wash water bottles after each session.
Players should be prepared to come dressed in as much hockey equipment as possible to reduce the time at the facility before and after on-ice sessions.
Players are only to arrive within 20 mins of your scheduled start time, only immediate family members will be allowed with player, and this should be limited to one.
Please do not come ahead and drop off bags or leave them afterwards. There is to be no congregating anywhere in the Repsol facility, including dressing rooms or outside the front doors, before or after your practice.
Juniors will NOT be allowed to use the dressing rooms and ONLY players and coaches will be allowed the dressing room for Senior. Repsol has designated areas in the spectator section where the juniors can get ready.
We will be taking attendance at each session. This is per AHS guidelines to assist in contact tracing if needed. Players are to line up 6ft apart at ice entry door and refrain from moving around or rough housing. This will help us to follow regulations and make it easier to take attendance. Of course any and all rules and regulations can change as the COVID situation changes.
If you have any questions please contact myself Amanda Bowman at email@example.com or through Remind.
